“Two big glasses of red will be necessary, I will enjoy that” : Thomas Frank delighted after Spurs’ victory over Borussia Dortmund

Thomas Frank was delighted after Tottenham Hotspur scored a dominating 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the seventh round of the Champions League. This was some big pressure of Thomas Frank’s shoulder, after he lost three consecutive matches in lead up to the game.
Spurs were also winless in their last five matches, and anything barring a win could put Frank’s job in jeopardy. Dominic Solanke scored on his first start of the season, as Spurs saw off a 10-man Borussia Dortmund at home on Tuesday evening.
Thomas Frank was upbeat about his team’s preparation in the training, and stated that they were not getting the desired results in the last couple of weeks. He also stressed on the importance to build on this victory, as Spurs look to make some ground in the PL table.
“What I feel the whole time is the staff is with us, I think the players are with us, the ownership, everyone wants the same thing and we’re on the same page.”
“We do a lot of things in the right direction and today was a big performance and a big win. Of course, I’m very aware of that, but I’m also very aware that this we have done and we need to keep that consistency and turn that a little bit. As I say, some of the other games we easily could have won. Now we need to build on this.”
Thomas Frank also joked that he would enjoy a couple of glasses of red wine to celebrate the win. This was an important win for Spurs, who were relentlessly booed in their 2-1 defeat to West Ham over the weekend. Now, Frank stated that the team’s focus should be building on this momentum to secure a victory against Burnley over the weekend PL fixture.
